Autism first begins to appear during infancy or early childhood, and generally follows a steady course with no remission. Whilst people with autism can be severely impaired in some aspects of life they can also be ‘normal’, or even superior, in others. Obvious symptoms progressively to appear after the age of six months, become more established by age two or three years. The symptoms tend to continue through adulthood, although often in a less obvious form.
This Autism Awareness for Educators course has been created to promote a better understanding of the struggles a person with autism goes through on a daily basis. More than 1 in 100 children are diagnosed with autism every year which is why this Autism Awareness for Educators course is now more crucial. This Autism Awareness for Educators course will help you assist autistic children in acquiring social skills, an appropriate education and learning to function independently.
